A shorter than normal warm up might have left brigg a bit slow out of the starting blocks against Kingston-upon-Hull 1s.
Hull started strong attacking Brigg and drawing a short corner within the first quarter. A lifted push glided in past the Brigg defence to draw first blood 1-0.

Brigg worked hard through the rest of the half in the sandy conditions of the Hull pitch, some good balls from the back and well worked link ups down the pitch gave Brigg a number of opportunities at making their claim on the scoresheet. A short corner was finally won by Brigg and Dickson sent another one of her clinical shots straight at the back board for 1-1 before the half time whistle.

The second half was a strong start to Brigg with some excellent distribution work in the midfield from Sparks-Kerss and some great leads from the forwards. Hull managed a break through the Brigg offensive and despite a monumental effort from Woodward to prevent a shot on goal, Hull managed a second goal for 2-1.
Brigg countered back with a superb run from Maddy into the D, linking up with Williams on the back post to even up the score once more, 2-2.

Hull got a few more balls sent high up the pitch to waiting attackers who won a number of short corners over the rest of the half, getting goals from 2 of the chances leading to a final score at full time of 4-2 to Hull.

Again a disappointing result for Brigg after some really great efforts on the pitch. Tricky pitch conditions certainly contributed to some of the missed opportunities and intercepts won by Hull over the course of the match however Brigg will need to be quicker to adapting to different pitch conditions moving forward.
